And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
If by some miracle I could either be a young man again in the present, or travel back in time remaining as old as I am now, I would gladly choose the latter!
When I was about 6 or 7 my dad and grandpa were driving an old 40s Chevy to get it licensed. We came to a stop sign and some toughs were mouthing off. My dad, a decorated vet, wanted to kick their ass but my gramps, a tough old guy said it wasn't worth it. What would they think of todays youth?
1947 or 48 I'm guessing, a lot of pre WW2 cars, not many post war
