And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
We have one about that size but a diff brand and the crock itself is difficult to clean because it is so heavy and slippery as hell when wet. Since it's just the 2 of us the big one is overkill and I want to get a smaller one, maybe 3 or 4 quarts. Don't know if they make em that small.
Ghostsniper, There are Crockpot liners available. They're what you'd think, large bags which you put in your Crockpot before adding food. I've used them twice, and had no clean-up aside from wiping the Crockpot interior with a cloth (after it cooled) to remove some slightly slick condensation. Mine came from a dollar (and a quarter) store.

ReplyDeleteA lid you can lock in place for when you take it to a pot luck is a really good feature.

ReplyDeleteWe have a 5 qt and a 9 qt crock pot. The small one works well for half recipes.
