And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
When I was young and foolish I thought I loved tropical heat. I went south whenever I could and sweated and burned and grew lethargic 5 minutes after sunup. Now I crave the cold. I'm looking forward to long walks under sunny Alberta skies in our crisp, dry and sparse snow.
grew up in the bitterroot range and plains of Montana. Climatically similar to western Alberta. just a bit less cold. then I got old and had many years working in different climates and learned that their is better things to do than heal frostbite injuries in the winter...
