One long and expensive tube

  1. It is a long, expensive tube, and it's a real treat to ride it while manning the sail.

  2. I like the fact that they are still running with a fixed iron front sight for backup. Old school reliable.

  3. I spent 20 years in the US submarine force.
I spent 3.5 years of that time under water on one of those.

    2. A re-fueling shipyard, 9 strategic detergent patrols, two cold water surveys on a fast boat with a Med cruise. Interesting stuff for a young man but I'd never do it again.

    1. Nope. More like 03OOD. But probably BM3POs on the sail planes.

  9. DBF. A lot cheaper to build. With todays technology they'd be just as quiet.
