Handy Little Device

  1. That might be the answer to one of my big time questions as I get older, "what happens when I can't open the pickle jar?"
It's on my list for payday next month!

  2. I can still open jars if I put my back into it, but some of this packaging is infuriating. Like when they seal meat in plastic right up to the edge so you can't cut around the edges. Or cat food pouches where you need a long handle ice tea spoon to get to the corners. Or boxes of cereal that are super glued and have to be torn apart.

  3. Rob- You lose hand strength even if you do the old ball squeezing exercise. We'll put one at each residence.

    1. I have a significant loss of grip. I discovered the latex-dipped work gloves toward the end of my work life, they gave me the extra 4-5 years I needed to cruise out gracefully. I recommend them.

  4. How long are the screws? Do they stick up through the shelf?
