And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My black lab/german shepherd would come home with kids. I mean like he was the Pied Piper hanging around for the aftn school bell. Occassionally, he did bring the remnants of some poor kid's sack lunch. Other days, he'd drag home the biggest piece of driftwood he could mostly. And brother, he was strong.
And just like that, his neighbor went from a rack of ribs to a lack of ribs.

ReplyDeleteWe had a Standard German Schnauzer that came home with someone’s raw Thanksgiving Turkey. He was very pleased with himself.
