And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Watched a reaction video to a 60's music video. All the guys commented about the gals' clean looks, and were wishing the could hop a time machine to go back there.
Hip hugger, bell bottom girls are the best. The '70s was the best decade to be a young, single. into good music, a little ganja, horny male and I met all those qualifications.
The Runaways: Joan Jett(18), Cherie Curie(17), Lita Ford(18), Sandy West(17), and Jackie Fox(17). Circa 1976. All California girls. Jett was born in PA, and Ford in England, but both had moved with their parents to CA by their teen years. The rest all native CA girls. (What, you thought the Beach Boys were kidding about California girls?). And this was after bassist Micki Steele (an old woman of 20 at the time) had already dropped out, and surfaced with the Bangles about 5 years later.
And any girl who isn't hot at 17-18, probably isn't going to get much better.
This bunch? No facial tats, green hair, or nose rings. Just kick-ass rock and roll.
The survivors (Sandy West died of lung cancer in '06) could re-form and go on tour tomorrow, and they'd still be 10 times hotter and 20 times harder than 99% of the musical wannabes performing today.
Oh yeah, The Runaways
ReplyDeleteYes. Yes they do.

Still married(44+ years).

DeleteGorgeous one and all…
ReplyDeleteNo phony boobs, no tats, no piercings. Yet they're all boner inducing.

They say if you clearly remember the 70s you weren’t really there. Remember them!
