And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Having a short angle of departure on an off-road vehicle is important. Hanging a big tire of the back can defeat that advantage. Raising the tire keeps it from getting hung up on rocks. It's a tradeoff.
Spare tire mount doubles as a "kick stand", for when you go up hills that cause negative grade imbalance.

DeleteMy Blazer has a tire like that though not that high. That 50lb tire is pretty heavy, especially when you try to thread it on them support lugs.
