And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I had the great pleasure, although I didn't think so at the time, of working in the woods and doing haying with horses. All hands were needed to do the work so the horses were shown the route the first time and then just followed the same path the next times. Haying with horses was brutal hot work, but at the end of the day walking back to the barn with the horses driving themselves and the hay wagon made it all worth a great, great memory.
