A 2300 year old Scythian woman's boot preserved in the frozen ground of the Altai Mountains. The real question: Is there a foot still in it?
Archeology has uncovered myriad burial mounds of Scythian women, many of whom were entombed with the panoply of warriors. The Greeks called such women "Amazons", and the Greeks told many a tale of wars fought against them. Yet again, ancient myths are not so much fables as they are History.

ReplyDeleteThat bit at the top that looks like a smoked ham sure looks like a bit of pedal extremity to me!
