And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Starship | SN15 | High-Altitude Flight Test -- Stick the landing, Elon!
I watched yesterday on the NASASpaceFlight youtube channel, and the excitement was after the landing (not that the liftoff, ascension, hover, and descent weren't, even in spite of the cloudcover) when the 3-story tower of flame was described by the hosts as 'small'...
Bezos is suing Musk because it's "not fair" Elon got the NASA contract based on the fact that Musk's Space Exploration Technologies Corp. is proven to be more advanced, efficient and more cost effective than his Blue Origin Company. Life is tough when you have countless Billions and a big ego.
30K ft. or 50K ft. you get the same problem @ the landing pad! When that ship turns sideways(from 30 or 50)the decent is practically the same. The trick is getting it vertical and smoothly-gently landing the craft at the designated spot..............
They need to complete that landing a few more times before they go orbital. Maybe SN15 will fly again after some rework. SN16 is next to the launch pad and SN17 not far behind. I saw somewhere that SN17 has the nose cone covered with the heat shield tiles.
High altitude? 30 kilometers? No 150 kilometers would be high altitude.
ReplyDeleteI mean 10 kilometers, not 30. but 30 would be great too.

ReplyDeleteSN17 has the heat shield? That will be something!
DeleteNice, no sudden stop at the end. And without some guy flying it. AI is here to stay. Question is when Satan starts using it what will you do?
ReplyDeleteI really appreciate you putting up these SpaceX flight videos.
