A Pair of Gauntlets from a Garniture of Armor of Philip II of Spain (reigned 1556–98). Throw it down!
Phillip II was a product of centuries of royal inbreeding which resulted in physical frailty and paranoid religious psychotic behaviour. Think Mr. Burns on the Simpsons. He squandered Spains entire treasury ( including all the wealth brought from the New World on his personal vanity project - El Escorial, and the failed Armada invasion of England. I seriously doubt he could even lift those gauntlets, let alone use them.
