And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? Recall reading that, somewhere in his racing prime, Sterling Moss failed the test for renewal of his driver's license. Seems he failed to use turn signals when making a turn. His explanation to the official was very simple; "there weren't any vehicles behind nor in front of me". He passed on re-test.
Moss won the Mille Miglia with Denis Jenkinson as his navigator. 1000 miles over rural Italian roads. They drove it previous, and made a roll chart to plot the curves and speeds necessary for survival. There is no race remotely like this in the world today.
