    1. Look up the P-40-Q. Several prototypes were built (from the last of the P-40-Ns airframes) including one with a bubble canopy in 1944. Performance was enhanced but still inferior to current Mustangs and Thunderbolts. This was the last attempt to improve the Warhawk models.
