And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Same here. My dad wrenched on P40's and Boxcars after WWII and they were his fav's. The first balsa airplane kit I built when I was 9 was a P40. Later, I had the Cox .049 version on a line.
Not rib-built, my first wooden model was an F-86. Soon enough migrated to Monogram plastic with a P-40 – complete with tiger-toothed decal. In the late 50’s, a neighbor occasionally wore an AVG flight jacket – complete with a silk “this foreigner is a friend of China” patch. And Cox .049’s; just caught a memory whiff of fuel and my old Fire Baby winging away!
Nice Photoshop of my favorite airplane.
