  1. Barlow knife pattern a classic ? It was mentioned in THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER, written in 1876. To me, that makes it a classic. Case has been around nearly as long.

    1. YES!! In the "Mickey Rooney" starred movie of the "Adventures of Tom Sawyer" The "BARLOW knife" plays a significant part!!!!!!!

  2. I have one almost 60 years old, given to me by my grandpappy.
    I never use it any more and it's nice and safe in my top dresser drawer.

  7. I got my Dad's old one years ago, it's not a Case but the same design. It's on the shelf next to my work bench with the small blade open, I used it to clear a Titebond wood glue opening the other day.
