And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
My Dad had the 2 door version....he was a Ford guy all the way until he traded the 57' wagon for a 59' Pontiac Catalina....I preferred the Chevy Nomad....
We had a '57 Ford wagon when I was a kid. It was the Country Squire model with the "wood" on the side. With 4 kids in the family, it was a welcome addition in interior room to the '53 2dr HT Mercury my father traded in to get it
You've got to be kidding me.....my Dad also traded a 53' Merc for the 57' wagon....the Merc was a 2dr hardtop, yellow with a black top, rolled and pleated seats, with matching interior....turned out years later my first car was a 53' merc, bought for 235.00....
According to some car builders on tv, that car has what is called a 'patina', and the look is supposed to be cool if the car has a good interior and a big engine.
We got one when I was 10. With the rear seats down, my brother and I had lots of room to roam. The car had the Thunderbird engine with a 4-barrel carb.
