Russians are not deterred by bad weather

  1. Napoleon and Hitler found that out the hard way.

  2. For Russians, that isn't bad weather.

  3. In Russia frozenground means "Good Weather". Russian "pavement" is called "mud" in the West. That is a primitive variation of the "Ice Highways" of Canada and Alaska.

  4. CW, that isn't bad weather. It's splendid weather. I really like the light, too.

    1. It's good to know you're reading the blog still! I got one daughter in Iceland right now, believe it or not. Darn close to Greenland, and the Faroes. Might have to visit. ;-)

    3. Yes, I saw it on an earlier post :-) Very cool! I hope she likes it there. And that you visit her! Iceland is a hub for transatlantic travel, you should be able to get there easily.

I've read your blog, daily, for all this time.

As I've said before: If you ever go to Greenland, go north of the Arctic Circle! Do not waste time in Nuuk. It's a shithole.

  5. I agree with all of the above. In Russia, it's just another day in the neighborhood.
