  5. As every boat sailor knows, fresh air stinks. I wonder if the uniforms still get that amine smell on them? An old boat goat would like to know.

    1. Yep, still get the amine smell. When I receive paperwork from the boat that has been underway, the paper smells like amine.

    2. Based on the Fairwater Planes (lower left), no Vertical Launch System (VLS) Missile Tubes on the bow and the placement of the forward Sonar transducer, I'm thinking that this is the USS Olympia (SSN-717) heading to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. She left Pearl Harbor last month.
