And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I second that emotion, Esky. Some of the most beautiful women that I've ever seen were from the silent era. I even hit a website fairly frequently that deals with silent films and the stars from ten........
Thanks for posting that fantastic site. So very many gorgeous women, and men too, most of whom I've never heard even though I'm an afficionado of old movies.
Often I think I'm living in the wrong era. Around 1900 seems just about right to me!
back in the day the girls were beautiful without being trashy. they knew the difference between sexy and floozy. one of my favorites was always (and ever will be) Gene Tierney. a beautiful girl.
Be still my heart. She's still known as the "It" Girl, and she's got it in spades!
