“Malo periculosam, libertatem quam quietam servitutem.”
Great photo of that Orion.
I remember my first flight on an Electra.....from Friendship Field to Kennedy....cost me 37.00 round trip on the Eastern Student Standby fair....I was always glad to see them find a place in the military that insured their survival, much like the Super Connies as EWACS and Hurricane Hunters into the 80's....
Saw that in the early morning more times than I can think about. Magnetic tape box, tool box, flight gear, lunch...
In Flight Tech? I was Sensor 1/2. Vp-56 1975 to 1979.
Yep. VP-19 '81 to '84
Spent many years maintaining and crewing on early P-3's. Kinda miss it at times. Careful with P-3 photos, you'll get Old NFO all stirred up.
Not really ready to go but somebody carefully posed the props. Great airframe.
