And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Every year in the summer, owners of restored/preserved Wacos fly into Mt Vernon, Ohio, for a three or four day convention. Usually there are two or three dozen airplanes. They are all beautiful and well cared for. Some owners will give people rides for a fee.
Wacos? These are Beech 17 Staggerwings, a 1930s executive aircraft. The Waco had fixed gear and had the normal biplane layout with the top wing forward of the bottom wing.
