  2. Every year in the summer, owners of restored/preserved Wacos fly into Mt Vernon, Ohio, for a three or four day convention. Usually there are two or three dozen airplanes. They are all beautiful and well cared for. Some owners will give people rides for a fee.

  4. Wacos? These are Beech 17 Staggerwings, a 1930s executive aircraft. The Waco had fixed gear and had the normal biplane layout with the top wing forward of the bottom wing.
