And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Pontiac. From back in the day when Detroit knew how to rock a hood ornament.
The first family car that I remember us having was a 1954 Star Chief with a cool hood ornament. I'd love to have something like that today. Seems like almost everything looks pretty much the same today no matter the make or country of origin. No style, no class, just homogenization..............
some friends and I rode the hogs out to a car show recently, know what we saw? Beautiful old cars and trucks on low profile tires and huge rims. The most asinine thing I've ever seen.
That's politically incorrect. Can you imagine that on a new car today?
ReplyDeleteIt's the Liz Warren model so.....
DeleteHeck, the brand name, Pontiac, is politically incorrect today, unfortunately!

DeleteThe Olds rocket, rocked baby! Today's Millennials ask: What's an Olds and what's a hood ornament?
ReplyDeleteYou do know that's a Pontiac, right?
