    1. Already happened. Their stone age societies were conquered by a modern people, and their land taken by right of conquest. Their gesture is in reality all they have left, which they make while enjoying all the blessings of a modern society they think they despise, but not really. What do you bet they drove to Mt. Rushmore in an air conditioned car?

    2. They're wards of the state, picking up a check once a month. They could have ended up a lot worse off than that. They need to drive back to the hogan, crack open a cold beer and turn on the housewives of wherever.

    3. @ cw swanson. If they drove there in an air conditioned car, that would be a clear case of cultural appropriation.

  3. Back to Mexico with them, since they can't appreciate America.

  4. They are American Indians, not Mexicans, most likely. Yep, it'd be better living in the wikiup/Hogan/teepee/whatever, starving by the end of winter, 50%+ infant mortality, plagues and epidemics - no, these were not introduced by the Europeans, there were such native to this continent - killed in wars with other tribes, or taken as slaves or sacrifices, than living in modern America. Yep, was better when great great grandpa lived...

  5. Perhaps not germane, but I'd like to point-out that my wife believes Rushmore is a natural phenomenon... because I told her it was. I also told her to keep the butter next to the light in the fridge so the heat from the light will keep the butter soft... she does.

  6. Always good to see that opposing views are not "government controlled".
