ESPN blasted for political correctness after pulling Asian-American announcer Robert Lee from UVa football game

“We collectively made the decision with Robert to switch games as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding, simply because of the coincidence of his name. In that moment it felt right to all parties,” reads the ESPN statement posted at t he popular Fox Sports college-football blog Outkick the Coverage.
“Did I mention that Robert Lee is Asian?” wrote disbelieving blogger Clay Travis, who first broke the story, citing “multiple Outkick fans inside ESPN.”
Hey ESPN!  We're looking at you!

  1. I guess it never occurred to anyone that they could call him "Bob Lee" for a while if his very name was so odious to them.

    1. The reality is that the guy's name wasn't odious to anyone. It's simply a few pearl clutching fascist tyrant wanna be's bullying a big public company, and taking advantage of that company's stupendous cowardice.

  2. Way back when, I had a drama coach in High School named Robert Eley. We all thought of Robert E. Lee of course, but he shut that down immediately: "You will call me Mr. Eley, and will forget my first name entirely." He was actually a really good guy, and a great teacher.

I guess now he'd be in line for a lynchin' the way things are going.
