Super rare photo of Billy the Kid found in Fresno Junk shop

Value: 5 million American dollars.   What the lucky finder paid for it: 2 American dollars.

Sure looks like him!


The photo is believed to have been taken in New Mexico around 1878 when the Kid would have been about 17. In it, he's playing croquet with his fellow Regulators, a group of ranch owners and cowboys who were deputized during the Lincoln County War. 
The Kid was dead three years later, shot by Sheriff Pat Garrett in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. 
Also present in the photo is Sallie Chisum, whose personal journals provided important first-hand accounts of Billy the Kid.
