And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Not worth the guy they lost, but then again, that is the nature of this kind of war. You gotta make your best call and then execute, and see what you get.
If MSgt Wheeler had stayed safe he would be alive.....but that is not how good soldiers think. He moved to support his Kurdish compatriots who were under fire and made the sacrifice. Of ALL the factions in MENA the Kurds are deserving of our aid. MSgt Wheeler embodies all that is great about American soldiers.
