And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
This comment has nothing to do with the magazine, but I found a candy that is chocolate, caramel and pretzel called "Snapper." It is a fancy Turtle-like candy.
Not the article, but Between the Elephant's Eyes was written by Robert L. Scott (who also wrote God is My Co-Pilot) and it is a great read about a walking safari in Africa trying to chase down an enormous elephant. It doesn't end like you think it might.
You ever et a turtle? Boys round here swear by it but I’m just gonna have to take their word for it. Never been that hungry. I thin the herd when I can.
Your missing out. Not sure about soft shells, but snappers are GOOD eating. Getting to be alot fewer now, in part due to poaching (paid for by the Chicoms) so please go easy on the snappers when thinking of thinning the herd.
