  1. If it had pushrods it would be missing the pushrod tubes on the rear cylinder. Are they called valve tubes on a flathead?

    1. Looks like it had been torn down and rebuilt and somebody had parts leftover so they just chucked the pushrod tubes

    2. Thats a beauty, to start from. Some engines are truly art. That one is too shelf.
      I like the Buell engines, early or late versions, fabricate the chassis around one, so many beautiful lines in them, the new Indian, factory flat track engine is a stunner of industrial art, very hard to get one though. The KTM 90 deg V Twins got some character if you change the colors on them.

  2. Just degrease it, mount it on a wood display stand and call it done.

    1. Indian Flathead. I don't know if it's a Scout or a Chief, but production was roughly between the two world wars.
