And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Thats a beauty, to start from. Some engines are truly art. That one is too shelf. I like the Buell engines, early or late versions, fabricate the chassis around one, so many beautiful lines in them, the new Indian, factory flat track engine is a stunner of industrial art, very hard to get one though. The KTM 90 deg V Twins got some character if you change the colors on them.
If it had pushrods it would be missing the pushrod tubes on the rear cylinder. Are they called valve tubes on a flathead?
ReplyDeleteLooks like it had been torn down and rebuilt and somebody had parts leftover so they just chucked the pushrod tubes

Just degrease it, mount it on a wood display stand and call it done.
ReplyDeleteI was leaning towards that too. It's cool looking but I would probably not get around to getting it running.
Deletebe a fun project
ReplyDeleteMight put out 20 hp in it's prime?
ReplyDeleteit is?
DeleteIndian Flathead. I don't know if it's a Scout or a Chief, but production was roughly between the two world wars.
DeleteWay too many missing parts, some of which will be pure unobtanium.
