  3. Why the Canadian Parliament has a library is beyond me. No Canadian Pol can read or understand basic common dog.
Total bunch of loser sheeple; every last one of them! Are you listening Polievre?
Had hopes for him but he turned out to be another pile of steaming BS.
Turns out the only hope is in Bernier and he doesn't have the followers because The Conservatives under Polievre lied and betrayed their constituents.

  4. A beautiful space, with a lovely white marble statue of the young Victoria right in the center of the room. I used to go there between turns in the booth ( l am a conference interpreter and worked in the House of Commons, 20 minutes on, 40 minutes off) and read the OED - the great Oxford English Dictionary. They had the full edition, 11 volumes or so.

It survived the great fire of 1916 or whatever year it was. The library had fire doors, and still does. On other occasions l would go outside and visit the Hill cats. There was a colony of the beautiful critters in the bushes just to the left of Center Block. I used to say they were the most intelligent creatures on the Hill. Alas, they are now gone. . .

    The beautiful wood carving, everywhere!

    1. Simply timeless architecture. Compare that with Obama's presidential library.

  6. A library for the obtuse and corrupt who wander Parliament Hill.

  8. I'll bet it doesn't have any economics books by Hayek or Sowell on the shelves.

  9. It is a place for people who can and do read books, regardless of their politics.
