  4. There's a 1959 Olds 98 2-door convertible for sale out there now, asking around $96K - has a 396 in it.

  5. Dad had a 58 Buick that he traded for a 2 door 65 Bonneville for mom. That ignited his inner gearhead. A 289 Mustang, Camaro RS, Twister 340, Demon 318 were rotated in and out until he drove a big block pickup.

  6. My mom had a medium gray, 1959 Olds. I cracked my head open at school and was in the principal's office on the second floor of the school. I kept looking out of the window, looking for that car.

    Suddenly, mom walked in.

I had not recognized the car from above. Being a short, little tyke, I didn't realize that the roof was a much darker shade of gray.

  7. Those roofs are useless in a rollover.

  8. We just got a '95 Buick, Roadmaster with less than 100k on it. Caraged it's whole life. A real continuation from the old days, but powered by an LT1. Interior is all analog. The wife named it Helen, Helen Wheels. The LT1 is surprisingly fast.

  10. look at any 1954 American car. they all look like hats. You could wear a hat in them.

these cars killed hats. hats were fading, these finished them off. if you can't wear your hat in a car, where do you put it?
