And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Stunning! Might be some good gold panning at the bottom of the falls.

DeleteQuite interesting is a meandering streambed with gradient.

I say that indicates a seasonal flow. The waterfall becomes a trickle.

DeleteThe meandering bed is a remnant from before the glaciation which carved the hanging valley which formed the waterfall.
The meander remains even as the flow increased post glaciation which resulted in increased down cutting, i.e. gradient.. Now that's unique.
Those forested slopes are tremendous. Love it great photo!
