And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Spaghetti Eating Competition: German Shepherd vs. Golden Retriever
My 2 1/2 year old, 90+lb, male, 3/4 Malinois, 1/4 German Shepard acts just like that GS, polite, constrained (with a warning thrown in, belatedly). His older, smaller, female, mutt "aunts" are like the Goldie. He's still figuring out, he should be the alpha. Watching him interact with the older, more opportunistic, experienced, decisive, females is amusing. Anymore, he hardly ever loses out to their quick "decisiveness", hardly. Sometimes when we toss out stuff for "first come, first served" and he misses out, he'll look up at you with that tilted head, like "HEY!, that's not fair!" Good thing he's sweet natured with his gals.
Yay Bailey!
ReplyDeleteThat was pretty funny. Thanks! - Nemo
ReplyDeleteThere was the quick and the hungry!
ReplyDeleteFrankly I don't think the German Shepard was all that fond of spaghetti.
ReplyDeleteWith meatballs... that would be something else.
he ate his lunch!
ReplyDeleteHaving once owned a Golden, I've wondered what it would take for a Golden it fully it its fill.
ReplyDeleteYep. Good video. The Golden was all in on it.
