And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
When I was but a tad many many years ago we would take our farm cats swimming in the horse tank. We would toss them a couple of feet above the water and they would plunk into the water and jump out hitting the rim with their feet without hardly getting wet. It got so it was hard to catch a cat within a hundred feet of the horse tank.
This happened once with my belovèd life-cat, Miss Clem; l adored her and still do, for love does not stop with death. She hopped into the tub. I had just drawn myself a warm bath. She levitated immediately and turning in mid-air, came down to the floor and skedaddled out of the bathroom. I was laughing and laughing as l sought her out to give her a hug. - She was a little grey tabby and was with us for seventeen years, and sometimes comes to me in my dreams.
Doesn't even look like his butt got wet.
