Picture of the Latécoère 522 under its crane. It was a giant transatlantic flying boat operated by Air France. It made only 4 non-commercial Atlantic crossings in 1939. After the outbreak of war, it was transferred to the naval air arm and militarised

    Operated by Vichy and destroyed by the Germans when they retreated.

    Yeah. Militarized for about a month. Then surrendered.
