And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I might buy this, threw it in my Wish List. We don't watch TV but have 4 DVD players with old tv shows from the 50's and 60's and watch one at suppertime. However, Mission is 1 hour long shows and I can't really watch TV that long without becoming unbearably bored.
Way back when I was a big "Man From Uncle" fan, I picked the first DVD from the library so I could watch it again... it lost something over the years :-)!
The handgun in the artwork appears to be a Beretta 92 series. I don't believe anyone in the original series used a Beretta 92 series (ca. 1975) because they weren't around yet!
When I was in 7th grade we played the "Theme Song to Mission Impossible" in band. I played the trombone. Our instructor was Jack Sargent. Good times. I can still play it in my head and picture every slide position on my horn. - Eddie

ReplyDeleteLiustening to Radio Classics/SXM148 today, it summarizes notable events in a 30 second snippet daily.
ReplyDeleteIan Fleming died today in 1964. Only "Dr. No" & "From Russia With Love" came out before his death.
Next year the best Bond ever hit the screen - "Goldfinger".
