  1. If you don't have to stay on the course (#46), why not ride the shortesst distance to the finish line?

  3. Number 1 rule: whatever possible you straighten out the corners.
Number 2: as tiny amount of brake as humanly possible.
Number 3: its two parts, you can always let off the brake earlier, you can always roll the throttle on earlier, even if its almost immeasurable, if you practice this as a habit you go lots faster.
Number 4: Coming into a corner if its very fast like end of a long straight, count 1 potato 2 potato, right at the point it feels almost too late, then grab that brake lever and squeeze it like your trying to kill it, long as your not into leaning quite yet you can't lock up the front tire. Its crazy but it really works.
Learned all those from racers lot faster than I. Then I got pretty fast because they work.

  5. It was a dirty pass really but Rossi got away with it. The other guy, if its Casey Stoner, was arguably one of the best but was unwell and eventually retired before he won everything. Stoner is a nicer individual than Rossi - a rare combo of humility and excellence.
