And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Like watching a Red-tail devouring lunch on a big Oak limb 30 feet in the air. Vicious.
The human hunter kills his harvest, then cuts it up to pack it home. In Mother Nature's world, a 'harvested' critter gets eaten alive. Tell me again which is more 'humane'.
Probably an eagle close by waiting to rob it. The ospreys grab fish out of the river here, then the eagles (sometimes Bald, sometimes Goldens) that wait in the trees along the bank harass the osprey till they give up and drop the fish and the eagle snatches it in midair.
Thanks CW. Great work from this Peruvian photographer:
