    Knees? If they are that questionable maybe just stay home in the porch hammock....lol

  2. Have a similar pair of Black Diamonds. They stayed at hunting camp until it was time to pack out the elk. Absolutely indispensable for that task. As I get older I've found that they get used more and more.

  4. If you have a heavy pack, it takes a lot of core energy just to control the load. These two extra points of contact with upper body leverage can really make a difference in end-of-the-day fatigue. That is another benefit in addition to extra stability in creek crossings, etc. I've used Cascade Mountain Tech poles in the wilds of Washington State for years. They are wonderful, and the price is well below the "name brand" poles that are out there, for equal performance.
