  1. I saw 5 out in the front yard late last night, hanging around the hummingbird feeders.
I was 10 feet away and they were indifferent.

  2. One killed one of my ducks 4 nights ago. I returned the favor last night. 3 nights of almost no sleep to complete the job. They are smart and elusive

  3. it a lot easier to trap them and then shoot them. try marshmellow fluff as bait.
they love that stuff. we have about 6-8 semi feral cats around here keeping critters
down. yup. they kill anything that comes near the house. well. every now and then we have a racoon that wants in or something like their food.
and after finding a dead cat or two. wife says, okay. kill the bastards.
get a large live bait trap. add "fluff to the bait and wait. doesn't take long either.
cats don't care for it. so they don't go after the bait, but racoons will every time
you use it. and if you ever saw what damage they can do if they ever get inside
of a house? yeah. you shoot them too. they have also killed small to medium size dogs with no trouble. and will really mess up any dog in their path.
after seeing what one of them did to a dog as a kid, I hate the damn things.

  4. one more thing, I have found that the 60 grain sub sonic 22 ammo works like magic on them. one shot and done ! just glad I bought 2 "bricks " of it when I did
as you can't seem to find it anymore ? Aquila used to make/sell it and you need a faster barrel twist to get any range out of it, like 1 in 9 .
I got my barrel from ER Shaw years ago for 99 bucks on sale. I don't even know if they still make them anymore. shame if so. as that 60 grain bullet works on critter really well out to 150 yards or so.

  5. they would not stay away from my bird feeder. when they got so bold as to not leaving in the morning when i got up it was time for action. electric fence that we turn on after dark. all of them (as many as 6 at a time) learned at once. but, there was one that would take the shock and still feed. a paintball gun was used to reinforce our resolve. took awhile but after too many direct hits this one also gave up. (i have no idea who froze the paintballs).

  6. Had one coming in my garage thru the cat door to eat the dog food. The door had a slide in piece to close it. I had a Velcro pad so I could stick it above the door. Next time the bitch found it open she took the piece off the door and I never found it again. Finally caught her in a live trap and took her far away. They are very smart!

    1. We can't legally relocate here. Kill on property even if caught in a live trap. Relocation just makes it someone else's problem; then there's Rabies to worry about also
