And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
It's Friday already?!!! Oh well, thanks for yet another wonderful "Open Road" photo essay. I love so many pretty young ladies gracing the images...that is all but the one with so much body ink. Oh well, we can win 'em all.
Most of that is mud. It looks like a paw print tat on her left calf and sumpin' above her right bicep, but the rest of it should hose right off! What I wanna know is what's that thing around her waist?! :-) :-0
Where is #2. Strange image. Looks like Bryce NP but the park road is above, not within the red rock as I recall. Maybe nearby Red Canyon but that doesn't seem correct either? Google image search claims this is AI, but it also has hits that are from 10 years ago in Arabic. Car is on the wrong side of the road.
Wow, that looks just like my dads old pickup with the gun rack and all. 3 motors, 2 transfer cases, replaced hubs and a tailgate that eventually fell off. We used the hell out of that thing.
Photo 6 is somewhere in Australia. The road sign on the right hand side of the road (as we look at it) will be on the left hand side of the road for traffic coming towards the camera, which is correct as we drive on the left hand side of the road.
gun rack in blue mid 70’s ford pickup. once it was common to have a couple of long guns hanging in the rear window
ReplyDelete"...gotta gun rack in the back

Damn. She's put together right...but her hat's on backwards!
ReplyDeleteroar we & no text?
ReplyDeleteCame here to mention that. Is the Rt 66 picture made with AI? The sign is gibberish.
DeleteYes, #23 is about the worst and most egregious example of AI fakery seen in these otherwise excellent collections.
DeleteThe car is gibberish too if you look at it carefully.
ReplyDeleteAs I recall, the young lady in the blue Ford pickup owns/operates an apple orchard in California. Steve_in_Ottawa

ReplyDeleteLot's of great photos but the girl in the blue pickup (#5) wins today.

DeleteThat old Chevy pickup would look so much better with a decent paint job and if it sat at a normal height.
ReplyDeleteDog driving is favorite
ReplyDelete#16 is shenanigans.
ReplyDeleteUnburnt campfires don't glow without flames.
That's a light, made to look like a fire.
Boo.
Almost all the rest are places I wouldn't mind being.
Cheers.
A severe lack of switchbacks this week. :(
