    1. This gun is not new. The design is from 1983, hence the number. It's the brother of the CZ-82 in Makarov, which is very nice. I like mine.

    2. I have had several East German Makarovs and still carry one in my hip pocket at times. Thanks for reminding me!

  2. Good gun, I should have gotten a couple when they were $200+.

  3. I bought one way back when they were first imported and I still use it today as my carry piece. The pistol only came with 10 rounds mags(per the ban) and I now know there are 12 and 13 round mags out there I am gonna search for them! I like the clean look and it does shoot accurate and doesn't have any great recoil and is comfortable to shoot several mags through.

    1. Smith & Wesson built a wonderful automatic, for .38 Special wadcutters, course it had a special hand shaped ramp. Wadcutters are excellent man stoppers, the square edge cuts thru bone and tissue giving deep penetration, it was a very accurate pistol, sold mine, didn't appreciate it for what it was back then, regretted it since, but .380 with the right kind of boolits is a close cousin, they make some dandy ammo now for it. Still hot to at least give em a double tap at minimum, but with double stack mags, there you go. And nobody wants to get shot no matter how small the round.
