And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Comfortable Corner, although I'd ditch the beanbag chair and replace with a nice leather club chair, facing the window.
BTW, the table height, teapot, the art work, and the lettering indicate this is in the Orient, probably Japan.
A club chair would be gailin gauche in that location. But the Persian rug instead of a tatami mat indicates the owner has some flexibility, as well as taste.
I got a promotion where I got the corner office facing Stone Mountain. After two very unproductive weeks I had the desk turned so my back was to the view.
agreed. if i want to humiliate myself i'll sit in a beanbag chair and then try to get back out of it.
ReplyDeleteThat bean's seen better days.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, the club is off to the left, out of the pik.
But it's tan, not the Corcoran you prefer.
I need a chair too.
ReplyDeleteI agree. The bean bag has got to go. A nice leather chair for me too.
ReplyDeleteThe bag would work as a good back- and headrest for lying on the floor and reading.
ReplyDeleteNah. You want the light from behind for reading.
ReplyDeleteBut a swivel would be nice, for the times to just stare out the window and admire the view.
