And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I note that Ralph Lauren's yellow (Giallo Modena) F50 sold for a record $9.25M at Monterey last weekend. Over the weekend, the major auction houses totalled $433M in sales. Not too shabby. Steve_in_Ottawa
You're right on that one Ghost. And while it would be nice to have an interesting, older car to drive, I live in the road salt capital of Canada so those are summer cars only. A friend just bought a 2004(?) Benz diesel 300 series with just over 50K kilometres on the clock but I don't think it has seen a lot of Winter driving. Really nice sedan with an engine that will outlast him! Steve_in_Ottawa
Looks like Ralph Laureen’s black 57SC Atlantic. There is a silver one in a museum so only two of the four built exist. Al_in_Ottawa

DeleteAt those prices they are no longer cars but rather investment vehicles.
