And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Bond. James Bond. And he's pouring a drink for Alotta. Alotta Fagina.
If only he'd done the cameo in 'Skyfall', that would've been epic. Instead his last film was 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen', one of the crappier Moore adaptations.
Connery was the best, Craig close behind. But assuming time travel, if both were reading the same script for the same movie in present times, it would go to the original, Connery.
I read a story somewhere recently that the new owners of the Bond franchise, Amazon/MGM Studios, have been debating whether to make the next "Bond" a woman. Anyone dumb enough to desecrate that long running cast of characters by changing the sex of the lead needs to be horse whipped and dragged down a gravel road naked.
Best Bond, Daniel Craig, worst bond: Roger Moore. Sean Connery, well for the time period it was made gave him the impression of being the best, As for Pierce Bronson, Timothy Dalton and George Lazenby(better than Connery) I liked them all but really like Craig the best.
It’s as big as a house…

ReplyDeleteYes he was the best Bond. Brosnan was a good fit too.
DeleteMeh. I thought Brosnan was too pretty for the role. Bond is a bit of a b*stard, with some hair on his back.
DeleteI didn't care much for Austin Powers as a movie, but Alotta Fagina was simply inspired as a parody name.
ReplyDeleteNo, he's dining with M and the head of the Bank of England, and pouring himself some "rather disappointing" brandy.
