And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
What perpetually saddens me is that they don't make ordinary wind-up watches anymore. Batteries just scream built-in obsolescence, and it always annoys hell out of me, because they could do it old school for less than $300 if they wanted to. They won't because those watches will last, and you won't buy more.
Too much unnecessary stuff. More stuff to wear out/break. kiss

ReplyDeleteSort of an unwritten rule that they always take pictures of clocks and watches at the same time of day. Or night, I guess.
