And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Fly to meet the boat, probably in Chile or Argentina. Ten days sail to Antarctica. Ten to fourteen days in Antarctic waters.

Vaccination shots on you, the boat probably handles visas. Don't forget your camera gear.
Obviously many people think it is worth it.
For the real adventure there is an overloaded open wherry with makeshift duck canvas cover and overland hike to defunct whaling station.

The wherry is my most favorite design for open boats. Graceful, beautiful, stout.
