  2. WB-57, a highly modified English Electric Canberra bomber used for high-altitude atmospheric monitoring. It looks like they have added 8ft to each wing!

  5. Ugly birds but our Air Force Airdales did love them when in use over Vietnam
    The critters could carry a quite large bomb load a LOOOOONG way and deliver same quite accurately.
    Tough birds as well.
    Read a book title of which I can not remember now about the aircraft while in high school.
    Interesting read.

  6. I saw a photo of one where gravity was stronger than the wing which had failed just outside the starboard engine - the tip resting on the ground meant it wasn't going to taxi anywhere.
