And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Too many people nowadays bring up Clint Eastwood as the star of "Rawhide", but Eric Fleming was the real star. BTW, I watch reruns of "Rawhide" every weekday on H&I TV and every Saturday on MeTV......

Written by Ben Hecht? Not one of his two Oscar winners? Took a quick look at his IMDB page, over 165 credits with a new movie coming out soon sixty five years after his death. His screenplays keep getting make into new productions. There are about five credits for "The Front Page".
