Do coffee right. The polar opposite of gas station coffee.

  1. $550 buys a lot of grounds. My stove top espresso maker for $26 is fine.

  2. Even better, my coffee nectar is Mexican instant. I could get over 11 years worth for the cost of this thing.

    1. Might as well just drink out of a mud hole. Taste will be the same.

  3. Some prefer simple, serious coffee, others prefer to see how silly they can be about it.

I heat 8oz of filtered water in a pyrex measuring cup in the microwave for 2 mins then dump it into the stainless steel double wall 15 oz cup with 2 tbs of maxwell instant, 1 tbs sugar, 1 tabs dry cream, 2 tbs of milk.

<5 mins from start to sipping, and about 50 cents a cup and clean up entails rinsing the cup with screaming hot faucet water.

High speed, low drag, minimal cost.
Save my time, money, effort for other, better things.

    1. Hell, I just pour boiling water in my toilet, dump in coffee grounds, swirl that shit up, let it settle a while, then dip a jug in and voila! Coffee. I don't spend nothin' for a pot. After I'm done, I just flush that all away - cleanup is a breeze! Don't know why anyone would do different, unless they is stupid.

    3. I was going to use a Spaghetti-O's comparison, but you made the point much better.

    4. I guess better things don’t include decent coffee.

  4. Have the same unit albeit older and will say its been worth the price we paid for sure. Still gets used regularly with no issues.

  5. Not enough counter space for that thing in my kitchen. I’d use the machine if I had it though.

  6. Laugh all you want at the price. I've been grinding my own beans and fussing over my coffee since the mid-70s, so I know a little bit about making good and bad coffee. Most of the time my Ninja drip coffee maker is just fine, but I have this exact model, and on the weekend, when I have more time, this makes a really good cup of coffee. Worth every penny.

  7. Best coffee I ever had was in Honduras. A sort of Juan Valdez character came down from the mountain with his burro and we bought US$ equivalent of 75 cents in fresh beans. Probably 5 lbs. Our host roasted a small amount over a fire of fresh green twigs (smoky as hell) and then ground them into flour. The coffee flour was stirred into a near boiling pot of water and left to settle.

As I drank it, I thought: these people have no idea that they routinely make some of the best coffee on earth.

  8. Simple pour over works fine for me, & grind them early morning beans, yum. Like it hot, black, wet like my women
